Varispeed motors are standard manifactured in stripped-down version IP44 and IC06 for their ventilation. For particolar working requirements they are also supplied with protection IP23. The degree of protection provided for motors in version IP23 can be raised at a higher degree by setting up on them special filters (which can also be supplied by the manufacturer) on the input of cooling air. They can be provided with a stopping electromagnetic brake without any mechanical variations, guaranteeing the stillness of the motor even when it is not fed.

On the back of the motor there are set up a speedometric generator for speed control and a fan with ever-connected feeding, in order to guarantee the discharge of the heat produced by the motor, apart from its speed of rotation. All motors are protected from overtemperatures by thermic probes. The power of the N.C. contact is 2A at 250Vac.The values of torque and rated current of the motor are approximate, as they change according to speed and load. The motor presents high working stillness, comparable with that of a normal asynchronous motor.

Being asynchronous motors, they do not need any particular maintenance, the insulation of all motors is in class H, and on request tropicalised motors are supplied, too. Single-phase motors work at 230Vac; 3-phase motors ones work with a linked voltage 230/400Vac. Three-phase motors with different voltage, e.g. 415-440Vac, are manufactured on specific request, for higher voltages an auto-transformer will have to be set up according to the specific table.

They can advantageously replace:

The hydraulic variable-speed unit, the precision of which is influenced by the temperature of oil and remote controls turn out to be onerous. The mechanical or pulley adjustable speed motor, which, besides the difficulties of control of revolutions, presents irregular kinds of wear, which in time turn out to be harmful to precision, and produce noise and vibrations. Gearboxes. The inverter controls when high take-off torque are requested.

Fields of application:

Belts, rollers, being either independent or syncronized, moving both continuously and intermittently, with smooth and progressive starting or stopping adjustable at will, with high precision in the repeatibility of cycles. Spindles of machines where absorbed power varies within limited values, to drive screws to let carriages advance on traditional, special transfer machine tools atc. Down-coilers, both with control of revolutions according to the variation of diameter, and as torque-motor which, keeping pulled, adjusts it according to feeding even without any feeler.
